Mark was born in Coventry, England in 1961. By the age of 8
he had taken up his first instrument – Clarinet. His love for music
continued, and at 12 years old he was given a drum kit by his father.
By the age of 13, Mark was already touring
locally as drummer and did his first tour of England with the Punk Band
‘Squad’ at the age of 16.
After achieving national acclaim with their
first single, Mark left to attend college
in Bristol. At 19 Mark joined the
70s hit band ‘Mud’ and during his 3 year intensive touring, he founded
his own band ‘Red Hot Red’ who went on to sign with Tony Stratton
Smith’s (Genesis) Canary Music.
